When receiving USDT or USDC on Nosh, you need to select the correct network before generating your wallet address. Sending crypto through the wrong network may delay your transaction or result in the loss of your funds.
This guide explains how to choose the right network and safely transfer your crypto.
Which Networks Does Nosh Support?
Nosh supports the following networks:
USDT (Tether)
TRC20 (Tron)
ERC20 (Ethereum)
Solana
BNB Smart Chain
TON
USDC (USD Coin)
Ethereum (ETH)
Solana
Arbitrum
Base
Polygon
Make sure you select a network supported by Nosh before making a transfer.
How to Choose a Network and Generate Your Wallet Address
Go to Crypto Wallets on NOSH.
Select the cryptocurrency and network you want to receive, such as USDT ERC20 or USDC SOL. Each network has a different wallet address, so choose the correct one.
Copy the wallet address and paste it on the platform you’re sending from.
Complete the transfer. Once confirmed, your Naira or Cedis wallet will be credited with the equivalent amount.
Always confirm that the network you’re sending through is the same as your Nosh crypto wallet address network.
Why Is Choosing the Correct Network Important?
USDT and USDC can operate on multiple blockchain networks. Even though the cryptocurrency has the same name, the networks are different.
For example, USDT sent through TRC20 must be sent to a Nosh address generated for TRC20. You shouldn’t send it through ERC20 or another network unless you’ve selected that same supported network on Nosh.
The rule is simple: the network you select on the sending platform must match the network selected for your Nosh wallet address.
What If I’ve Already Sent Crypto Through the Wrong Network?
If you send crypto through the wrong network, the transaction is usually irreversible, and your funds may be permanently lost. Different networks operate on different blockchains, so a transfer sent through the wrong network may not reach your wallet.
To avoid this, always confirm that the network you select on the sending platform matches the network of your wallet address on NOSH before completing a transaction.
