About TOPUP Bank Account

About the Nosh Virtual Bank Account for users.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Every NOSH user is entitled to a Virtual Bank Account which operates like a normal bank account. However, to gain access to this, you have to complete the KYC procedure and submit your BVN details.

However, other functionalities on the NOSH platform remain accessible even without KYC verification.

WHY DO WE NEED BVN?

The account operates like a normal bank account, which, according to CBN, must be registered under your BVN. Not to worry, your information is safe with NOSH.

Once you have completed the KYC procedure, go to your Naira wallet, click on Top-up Wallet, click on Set VBA, enter your first name, last name, and phone number. Your VBA will be generated within a few minutes.

Transfer to this account from any Nigerian bank or USSD, and the value will be credited to your Nosh Naira wallet.

NOTES:

  • Deposits to this account carry a 1.5% fee.

  • There is a limit on VBA top-ups, meaning that if you want to top up your wallet, a "single inflow" should not be more than ₦1,000,000, and the "total top-up balance" should not go beyond ₦5,000,000 at a particular time.

  • Deposits into the NOSH account are for NOSH gift code purchases, e-gift card purchases, and refill transactions on our platform.

  • If more than two deposits are made into the NOSH account within a 24-hour timeframe from the first deposit, the account will be automatically flagged. Kindly attempt to make daily deposits at once.

  • For all top-ups into the NOSH account, the sender’s name must match the name on your BVN. Transactions from mismatched names will be flagged for review before they get approved or otherwise.

Sending funds from your personal bank account with a name matching that on your BVN will prevent your payments from being flagged.

Understand that you do not need to complete this procedure to make use of other NOSH activities. Without completing KYC verification, you can still:

  • Sell gift cards

  • Make crypto transactions (starting from as little as $5, with no maximum transaction limit)

  • Withdraw funds

  • Purchase airtime and data

  • Pay electricity bills

  • Pay for Internet subscriptions

  • Pay for cable TV subscriptions

  • Top up betting accounts
