Reasons for Flagging NOSH Accounts; Account Triggers

Why an account may be flagged automatically by the system

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are different reasons a NOSH account may be flagged/frozen. This is usually because our system has detected some unusual activity on the account. We refer to these reasons as "triggers", and this article will provide an explanation for each one.

  1. SELL TRIGGER: An account may be flagged automatically by our system due to a "sell trigger" when there have been multiple rejected gift card transactions on the account within a short timeframe or a 24-hour timeframe.

We always advise our users to refrain from uploading bad cards to the trading platform in order to prevent their accounts from being flagged by the system.

  2. BUY TRIGGER: An account will be flagged automatically by our system due to a "buy trigger" when there have been multiple e-gift card and Nosh gift code purchases initiated within a 24-hour timeframe.

To avoid this, we kindly advise limiting your purchases to one transaction or no more than four times within a 24-hour timeframe.

You have the option to make all of your purchases at once instead of making multiple transactions. Simply choose a higher quantity for the desired amount. For instance, if you want to buy $30 worth of iTunes e-gift cards, select 10 as the amount and 3 as the quantity.

  3. TOP-UP TRIGGER: An account will be flagged automatically by our system due to a "top-up trigger" when more than two deposits have been made into the NOSH Naira wallet within a 24-hour timeframe from the first deposit.

Please attempt to make your daily deposits at once.

  4. WITHDRAWAL TRIGGER: An account will be flagged automatically by our system due to a "withdrawal trigger" when there have been multiple withdrawals initiated on the account within a 24-hour timeframe.

To avoid this in the future, we kindly ask that you limit your withdrawals to one transaction or no more than five times within a 24-hour timeframe.

  5. NOSH GIFT CODE (NGC) TRIGGER: An account will be flagged automatically by our system due to an "NGC trigger" when more than one Nosh gift code has been redeemed within a 24-hour timeframe. Please understand that this is done for security purposes.

Our team is always on top of resolving this, so there is no need for concern. You will always be informed once the restriction is lifted.

  6. REFILL TRIGGERS (DATA, AIRTIME, BETTING, ELECTRICITY, ETC.):

An account will be flagged automatically by our system due to any of these refill triggers when there have been multiple refill transactions (eg. data/airtime purchase, bet wallet top-up, etc.) initiated on the account within a 24-hour timeframe.

To avoid a flagging of your account, kindly refrain from initiating multiple refill transactions within a 24-hour timeframe. Please attempt to make these daily transactions at once or fewer than five times.

Rest assured, our team is constantly monitoring and reviewing flagged accounts, and we strive to resolve any restrictions as quickly as possible. If we require any additional information from you for the review process, we will reach out to you directly.

You will always be notified once the restriction is worked on.

Thank you for your understanding.
